Canon C300 to ProRes Converter:Convert Canon C300 MXF to ProRes MOV for FCP X

The Canon EOS C300 is a hot camera that supports the Full HD recordings, utilizing file-based MPEG-2 compression with an MXF File Wrapper. Though MXF is great video format to record high-definition videos, it is not easy to use for they are not natively supported by most video editing programs. I have used Canon C300 camcorder and recorded some videos in MXF format, when I try to import Canon C300 MXF to Final Cut Pro X on Mac, problems occurred, I can’t load the clips to FCP X, after searching on apple FCP official page I know that the effective way is to convert Canon C300 MXF to Apple ProRes codec which is native supported by FCP X. The following guide shares with you the way converting Canon C300 MXF for using in Final Cut Pro X.

Step 1: Free download UFUSoft Canon C300 MXF to ProRes Converter for Mac. This is excellent software which can help you convert Canon C300 MXF video to ProRes for FCP X with keeping timecode for FCP.

Step 2: Install and launch the Professional Canon MXF to FCP Converter for Mac, import the MXF video from Canon C300.

Step 3: Click on "Profile" and you will get a dropdown menu , then move you pointer to Final cut Pro >Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov) or Apple ProRes 4444 (*.mov).



Tips: You can click "settings" button to customize the output video parameters as you want, such as video resolution, video bitrate, etc.

Step 4: Click "Convert" button to Convert Canon C300 MXF to ProRes MOV for Final Cut Pro X.

After the process, press “Open Folder” to locate the converted files and load the videos to edit in FCP X.
